Invisalign Express
Launched in August 2005, Invisalign Express offers a lower-cost treatment for very simple cases. The goal of Invisalign Express is to give more patients the opportunity to correct their orthodontic issues at a lower cost and reduced time-frame. To meet the requirements of Invisalign Express, the patient should be considered to have only mild spacing and crowding. In the Align Technology press release for Invisalign Express, it was also stated that the procedure will work as a "pre-cursor to restorative or cosmetic treatment such as veneers."
Invisalign Express will consist of no more than 10 aligners (which are are replaced every 2 weeks.) The price for the dentist/orthodontist is much lower than the regular Invisalign treatment plan, which allows the procedure to become more affordable.
The president and CEO of Align Technology, Thomas M. Prescott, stated "Now our customers can get great results at a price that matches the treatment time and level of complexity involved with minor tooth movements."
Prescott also added that "Invisalign Express addresses patient price sensitivity with a lower-priced solution for simple cases, and reduces a doctor's barrier to trial by eliminating the cancellation fee prior to accepting ClinCheck."
Invisalign Express is available in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Australia.
